CHOKOMATA™ Privacy Policy

Welcome to CHOKOMATA™, a mathematics and logic puzzle game created by Richard Noibi.
CHOKOMATA™ is designed for children, teenagers and adults. We take privacy seriously and aim to collect as little personal information as possible.
Accounts and Personal Information
CHOKOMATA™ does not require users to create an account.
The app does not ask for your name, email address, telephone number, photographs, contacts, precise location or other directly identifying information.
Age Screen
Because CHOKOMATA™ is intended for both younger and older players, the Android version uses a neutral age screen before advertising services are started.
The player enters a date of birth so the app can determine the appropriate age category for advertising purposes.
The date of birth itself is not saved by CHOKOMATA™ and is not sent to our servers.
The calculation takes place on the device. After the age category has been determined, only the resulting age-treatment category is stored locally on the device so that the player does not need to enter their birthday every time the app opens.
Advertising
CHOKOMATA™ may display advertising using Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK.
Advertising is configured according to the player’s age category. For users identified as children, Google is instructed to apply child age treatment. This disables personalised advertising and remarketing and prevents the Android Advertising Identifier from being transmitted with those child ad requests. Teen users receive Google’s teen age treatment, which also disables personalised advertising and remarketing.
CHOKOMATA™ also restricts the maximum AdMob advertising content rating so that inappropriate mature advertising is not shown through the app.
Google and its advertising services may process technical information needed to provide, measure and protect advertising, subject to the user’s age treatment, privacy choices and applicable law.
Consent and Privacy Choices
Where required, including for eligible users in the United Kingdom, European Economic Area and Switzerland, CHOKOMATA™ uses Google’s consent-management system to present privacy choices before advertising-related processing takes place.
Users may be offered choices including consenting, declining consent or managing their privacy options. Google requires publishers serving ads in these regions to use an approved consent-management process.
Children
CHOKOMATA™ is suitable for a mixed audience that includes children and adults.
The app uses an age-screening process so that children receive age-appropriate advertising treatment. Advertising shown to children is intended to comply with Google Play’s Families requirements, including restrictions on personalised advertising and persistent advertising identifiers.
Game Progress
CHOKOMATA™ may store information such as game progress, puzzle state and the player’s advertising age category locally on the device.
This information is used to operate the app and is not intended to identify the player personally.
Third-Party Services
CHOKOMATA™ currently uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads for advertising and Google’s privacy and consent tools where required.
Google’s handling of information is governed by Google’s own privacy policies and advertising policies.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when CHOKOMATA™ introduces new features, services or privacy requirements. The effective date at the top of this page will be changed whenever the policy is materially updated.

One important improvement over the old version is that we shouldn’t say “we collect absolutely no information” anymore. You personally are not building a database of players, but Google AdMob is a third-party SDK and may process technical advertising data. The wording above separates what CHOKOMATA itself stores locally from what Google’s advertising service may process. Google Play explicitly requires disclosures to include data handled through SDKs.
